Lake Mead

Mommy's old friend, John, and his fiance', Shannon, moved to town, so we all decided to go on a picnic at Lake Mead.

Alexis loves picnics.

After we ate, we went down to the water. Alexis was a little skeptical at first.

There were lots of people swimming and playing on the beach.

Alexis decided to go in for a closer look, while Mommy & Daddy stood by.

Alexis liked the water and wanted to tell Mommy all about it.

But, it was a little slippery.

Who knew there would be so many shells?

The Many Faces of Alexis

We went out to dinner one night, and Alexis was being SUCH a little ham! I kept taking pictures, and they all seemed so expressive.

Do you think that, perhaps, we have a little actress on our hands?

With our trip and all the medical concerns, I got behind on my posts, and I still haven't managed to catch up. I mean, afterall, it's not as though life stopped during that time. Anyway, in an effort to get caught up, I'm combing two recent videos into one post. The quality isn't great on either one, since there was poor lighting in both situations, but you can still get the idea.

The first video shows Alexis breaking into our friends' dog food container, much to the delight of their two dogs.

This second video is probably the more anticipated of the two. It's a video of Alexis walking. She took her first steps on June 22, 2009, and continues to get faster and more stable everyday.

Family Camping Weekend

A few weeks ago, we spent the weekend camping, as a family.

Alexis thought the tent was really fun!

Joanne's visit

It seems like when people come to visit we end up at a lot of the same places. We enjoy it, but it may make it may appear that we're duplicating pictures.

Recently, Joanne (Mommy's college roommate) came for a visit.

When Joanne came to visit, last year, we took a similar picture, only Mommy was 7 1/2 months pregnant then.
