Even in the desert it rains sometimes

This past weekend was especially rainy.

So we decided to head inside to the Las Vegas Natural History Museum.

We saw lots of animals.

Alexis encouraged the bears to stop fighting.

There was a big open air shark tank.

Two sharks and a sting ray. Daddy asked the ray if he was from Tampa Bay. I'm not sure we ever got the answer to that.

Superbowl XLIII

Anybody who knows us knows what a big role football plays in our lives. Yesterday was Alexis' first Superbowl. While it wasn't exactly the match-up we'd hoped for, it was a great game.

Alexis enjoyed the game, almost as much as she enjoyed the remote!

Alexis was the lucky winner of two of the four quarters, on our betting grid. She won this frog, but then generously gave her second prize to Adam (who didn't win any).


Alexis decided that the 3-D glasses worked better as a halftime chew toy.


Elvis wasn't terribly fond of the 3-D glasses either.

Even during football, there's still time for cuddling.

I think she's a fan!

Another Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

It was another beautiful day here in Vegas, so we made another family trip to the park. This park was different (no ducks), but was still lots of fun...

Daddy and Adam played tennis while Alexis worked on quality control testing of the tennis balls.

We also took a nice walk around the park

And the best part, Alexis got to go on the swings for the first time!

Just a quick update. Alexis got her first tooth a week and a half ago (January 18, 2009) and then got her second tooth the very next day!

Today was a BEAUTIFUL day in Las Vegas. The afternoon temperature was right around 70 degrees, so we decided to take a family trip to the park.

This was Alexis' first trip to the park, so we decided to go to a special one: with DUCKS!!
