This weekend, we took a trip to the Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary.

The sign read "Bird Sanctuary", but all the brochures said "Nature Sanctuary".

Horses out for a stroll.

Alexis making the acquaintance of a large bird.

A pure white peacock showing us his feathers.

Alexis saying hello to a goat.

Then, one of the goats came over to say goodbye.

A pretty pond.

Mmmmm...Alexis had frybread for the first time (it was a hit)!

Donkeys & llamas and emu, oh my!

Colorful peacocks.

Hello horsey!

Daddy & Alexis enjoying the day.

Riding on Daddy is always fun.

Some kind of ostrich species.

A nice creek.

Apparently, this tortoise was VERY hungry, because he found it necessary to sit on top of his food and eat!

Alexis enjoying herself.

Shhhh...the piggy is sleeping.

Baby ducky!

Mama & Baby

Swan

Pretty colors.

Is that Toucan Sam?

The red parrot was very pretty.

This birdy even talked to Alexis!

You spoil me with the posts (I have been impatiently waiting for almost a week for another one!) Did you tell the goat "put up your Dukes" and he said "I ain't got no Dukes!"?
I can tell my Alexis' expressions that she wanted to ride the Emu, the goats AND the peacocks.
